After approval by the Beijing Standard Committee on Science and Technology in May, construction of the first Chinese Center on Plant Engineering Technology Research was started. It will focus on energy-saving technologies, engineering, biotechnology, automation technique, etc. There is an advisory committee made up from leading experts in Chinese plant technology research.
