Gansu Province to start microbial germplasm resource bank of Qinghai-Tibet plateau

The Chinese consumption of chymosin is 500 – 800 to/y, of lactase 4000 – 8000 t, lipase 600 – 800 t. The Gansu move must be seen in the context to become more independent from imports.
