The output of the Chinese biological industry in 2020 will be at 2 trillion Yuan (~230 billion €), with continuing annual growth rates of over 20 %, and the emergence of a biopharmaceutical, bio-agricultural, bio-industrial and bio-energy industry began to take shape. The new master plan provides detailed targets and strategies for growth in all of the above areas.
