In 2011, eight biomass power plants in Anhui Province generated 1,2 billion kWh energy output

Biomass is mainly rice husks and straw biomass (about 2 million tons), and about 1 million tons of standard coal are saved. It is expected that by 2015 installed capacity in Anhui will reach 1 million kW of biomass power generation, a generating capacity of 6 billion kWh.
