Apart from IT, marine economy, health industries and aviation/aerospace, Shenzen’s life science industry grows significantly faster than the national GDP, partly due to BGI and Beike Cell Technologies. Shenzen plans to extend these pillars of growth further and become an international hub for life sciences by 2020.
