Group at Nanjing Normal University decodes genome of Yantze River dolphin

The dolphin (Lipotes vixellifer), dubbed „Giant Panda of the rivers“, is close to extinction, due to river warming and pollution. It is hoped that molecular biology may contribute to long-term conservation.
