First antitrust trial against Chinese vitamin C manufacturers ends with appeal

The defendents, North China Pharmaceuticals and Hebei Wellcome Pharmaceutical Co. were sentenced to 153 million USD fine for creating a monopoly but indicated that they will prepare an appeal.
