In an article published in Lancet on Dec. 13, 2013, high-rank officials acknowledge that China’s air pollution is a major risk factor for public health including lung cancer and point on the 5 years’ plan on “National Ambient Air Quality Standards” with investments of 277.5 billion USD to reduce air pollution, among other features, to PM2.5 (see “Window-to-China” September 2013).
