The group of Lijian HUI at CAS SIBS Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology succeeded to obtain hepatocytes from fibroblasts by introducing three transcription factors which induced activities such as glycogen storage, secretion of albumin, drug metabolism and biliary excretion.
