A group around Liaoning Provincial Institute of Sericulture Sciences and supported by BGI solved the sequence of the Tussar silkworm (Antheraea mylitta). China produces annually 80.000 tons of Tussar silk which is 90 % of the global production, at a value of 2,5 billion yuan.
