Chinese team succeeds in analysis of protein dynamic structure using time-resolved IR spectroscopy

The team around WENG Yuxiang from CAS Institute of Biophysics and CHANG Zhengyi from Peking University studied the dynamics of DegP, an E. coli heat-shock protein. Using the behaviour of several enzyme mutants as controls, the dynamics of DegP hexamer disassembly were clarified.
