Team at CAS Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology solves structure of E. coli octaprenyl pyrophosphate synthase at 2,6 A

The group around Guorui TING solved the structure of the E. coli enzyme and showed by mutations at M123 and M135 that these residues are crucial for producing higher quantities of C-55 terpenoids.
