The Chinese branch oft he joint center will be operated by CAS Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology in Beijing and the Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology in Shanghai, and focus on crop improvement and diseases resistance. The Chinese partners will contribute 5 million £, the Bristish partners 3 million £ over 5 years
