A new highland variant of barley yields 5,3 kg/ha

The hybrid variant Kunlun 14″, cultivated in the Qinghai-Tibet plateau, provided yields of 5,3 kg/ha, 12 % more than standard barley hybrids. In 2013 China produced over 1 Mill. T of highland barley, most of it on the Qinghai-Tibet plateau”
