The 3 day exhibition from Dec. 3 – 5, organized by the China Fermentation Industry Association, exhibits on 16.000 m2. From 2000 to 2011, China’s production of fermented products grew from 2.6 to 13 million t, with exports of a value of 3.4 billion US-$. China leads the world market in the production of glutamate, citric acid and sorbitol. At present, overcapacities, high energy consumption and pollution issues force the industry to look for new markets such as the dairy industry and improved technology.
