Built at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and financed by the CAS, the center will focus on biodiversity and ecological conservation. At present, 24 young Africans are studying in China on a CAS scholarship to prepare for work in this center. In addition, China has financed the establishment of a botanical garden in Kenya.
