Director of the Oxford Center will be Academician Zhanfeng CUI who is also member of the Royal Academy of Engineering. China will provide £ 7,5 million funding to the Center over 5 years, which will also be used to fund 20 Ph. D. students at Oxford. Results will, through Oxford University’s ISIS technology transfer center, be outlicensed to China Bio-Med Regeneration Technology Ltd., for exploitation in China. Projects are centered on the use of stem cells to treat diabetes, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases and organ repair.
