A group at CAS Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE) has successfully investigated materials for improving interface properties and mechanical performance of PLA. Epoxidized soybean oil, cardanol shell oil, epoxy resins etc. were found good additives, approaching mass production on injection molding.
