Engineering Research Center of Food Safety, Chongqing, develops simple and fast test for melamine-adulterated milk

The test is based on the color change of gold nano-particles which can be monitored simply and quantitatively by UV-Vis spectroscopy within 15 min at 2 ppm sensitivity, applicable in field screening.
