Over the past 10 years, this topic was substantially funded but mostly reached only pilot-scale. According to plans, power generation from biomass should reach 13 million kW by 2015, with the next target as 20 million kW. To this end, 200 biomass power plants will be supported by up to 90 billion Yuan investment provisioned to regional biomass-related industry.
