The deal was negotiated already in 2014 and comprises an unknown number of missiles for a sum of 3 bill. USD. The missiles can target airborne objects 400 km away and is capable to shoot down targets in, e. g the airspace surrounding the Diaoyu Islands from the Chinese mainland.
