The bank will provide a 30 million € loan for 25 years to the Fujian Provincial Department of Finacen for the construction of a 6 ha Sapindus bioenergy forest base. The Chinese soapberry shrub (Sapindus) provides oil for the production of biodiesel and biomass and is already planted in Fujian on about 28,000 ha, providing work for 30,000 people.
