East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) develops new route to chiral amines

The group of Jianhe XU has developed a new procedure based on alcohol dehydrogenase and a newly developed amine dehydrogenase to convert secondary alcohols by ammonia to chiral amines with a conversion rate of 98 % and up to 94 % ee.
