Team at CAS Shanghai Institutes of Biosciences improves ABE solvent production by C. acetobutylicum

The group of YANG Sheng at CAS SIBS has succeeded to improve ABE solvent titers to nearly 22 g/L by enhancing biotin biosynthic pathways. These yields exceed wild-type strains by > 30 %.
