As announced by the State Phamracopoeia Commission on its website, this will bring the total number of varieties to 6,400, of which about 220 varieties will be TCM. The safety standards of these varieties will be strongly improved (pesticide reidues, heavy metals, allergenics), and the identification of individual compounds will be further standardized.
