Researchers at CAS QIBEBT improve process for zero-discharge seawater desalination

The group of Yang ZHANG and colleagues at the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), CAS, has developed a combination of nanofiltration and electrodialysis to produce ion-free water from seawater with over 98 % water recovery.
