According to recently published „Guiding Opinions on Implementation oft he 13th Five-year Plan for Renewable Energy Development“ issued by the National Energy Administration, the original plan was nearly doubled and now targets by 2020 up to 23.34 million kilowatts power generation from agriculture and forestry biomass in 31 provinces and autonomous regions. Clean heating with ultra-low emissions is the main direction of use. By the end of 2016, there were 23 provinces and municipalities in China developing a total of 254 agriculture and forestry biomass power generation projects, with a net installed capacity of 6.442 million kilowatts.
