Jiangnan University wins one out of 14 national gold awards for α-ketoglutarate production by engineered yeast

The group of Jian CHEN patented this technology based on a metabolically engineered yeast in 2010. In the meantime, this technology has been widely applied for the production of this compound which is used in medicine, food and cosmetics.
