Corrosion by sulfate-reducing bacteria is a major problem in oilfield microbial technology. Sinopec-operated Key Laboratory of MEOR was decorated for developing control strategies for sulfate-producing bacteria which reduced H2S-content in treated sewage to 0.2 mg/L.
