CAS Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology reports production of recombinant alkaline pectate lyase in E. coli, application in bioscouring of textiles

The enzyme gene was cloned from a metagenome library and expressed in E. coli in yields of 1800 U/ml in a 7 L fermenter.
