Team at Hubei University develops recombinant Aeromonas strain for straw-to-bioethanol process

A team around Professor WANG Haoyong, School of BioEngineering, developed an improved process based on Aeromonas strain which has an enhanced ethanol tolerance and is unsensitive to acid pH and elevated temperature. Chinese output of bioethanol is given with 3 million t/y.
