PcrB catalyzes the production of heptaprenylglyceryl phosphate from heptaprenyl diphosphate and glycerol-1-phosphate. In collaboration with Taiwan’s Academia Sinica and the University of Illinois, the group solved the x-ray structure of this enzyme isolated from Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus.
