CAS Institute of Process Engineering develops membrane-based bioreactor for succinic acid production

The membrane reactor allows to remove acids and replenish fresh broth, maintaining high cell-density for up to 130 hrs. Succinic acid concentrations were up to 73 g/L, attaining 99,4 % purity after crystallization. CAS news release, June 25, 2014

China launches manned deep-sea submersible “Jiaolong” for Northwest Pacific voyage
